You can open an HWP file without Hancom Office: click “Open HWP file”, choose a .hwp or .hwpx document and it opens right in your browser. Edit text, tables and formatting with the menus and toolbar, then click “Save as HWP” or “Save as HWPX”. The file is never uploaded to a server.

You can read documents on a phone, but editing works best on a computer.
Click “Open HWP file” and choose a .hwp, .hwpx or .hml document. The first visit downloads the editor engine once.
Scroll through the pages. Text, tables, images, headers and footers are laid out like the original.
Use the menu bar and toolbar to change text, paragraphs, character formatting and tables, just like a word processor.
Click “Save as HWP” or “Save as HWPX” to download the edited document to your device.
Yes. The document is read and laid out by the open-source rhwp engine running as WebAssembly in your browser, so no Hancom software or plug-in is required.
No. Opening, editing and saving all happen inside your browser, so the document never leaves your device.
Most documents look very close, but Hancom-only fonts are replaced with open-source fonts such as Noto, Nanum and Pretendard, so letter spacing or line breaks can differ slightly. Check important documents in Hancom Office after saving.
Yes. Use “Save as HWP” for the classic binary format or “Save as HWPX” for the newer XML-based format.
Documents that are encrypted or saved as distribution-only may not open.
You can open and read documents on a phone, but editing is much easier on a computer.
